The OTA Program is closed for fall 2011.
FALL 2012 APPLICATIONS: The fall 2012 OTA Application packet islinked to the OTA web page. Applicants seeking admission for fall 2012 must access and follow ALL steps within the fall 2012 application packet. Participation in a mandatory information session is a required step of the application process. The dates, times and locations of these sessions (one session scheduled each month during the academic year, September 2011- April 2012) will be included in the application packet. There is no need to register in advance for a session. However, applicants are encouraged to attend the earliest session possible in order to best prepare for application submission and plan for potential enrollment.
Information Sessions for Winter/Spring 2012: Wednesday January 4, 2012 from 10:30 a.m. - 12:00 noon in DH306 Thursday February 9, 2012 from 2:30 - 4:00 p.m. in DH106** this is the last information session scheduled before February 14th application due date. Wednesday March 14, 2012 from 9:00 - 10:30 a.m. in DH106 Monday April 15, 2012 from 10:30 - 12:00 noon in room DH342
ADVISEMENT INFORMATION: Persons considering and/or seeking fall 2012 application are highly encouraged to enroll in as many of the OTA Program's general education course requirements as possible prior to entering the OTA Program. These courses can be taken during the 2011-2012 academic year (including summer sessions) and include Composition 1 and 2; Anatomy & Physiology 1 and 2; General Psychology; and Human Growth and Development. ALL of these six general education courses are pre-admission requirements for the accelerated option of study but are also recommendations for the traditional option of study [especially if students must balance part-time work and family responsibilities along with the rigors of the OTA courses]. In addition, although not a program requirement for any option of study within the OTA Program, students are advised to enroll in NSCC's 1 credit LSC101: Research Methods. Students are also advised to take Statistics in order to enhance ability to read and understand research articles.
