In this era of specialization, efforts must be made to end the fragmentation of self and society. We must generate a more holistic approach to course content and teaching methods in order to broaden our student?s knowledge of their past and prepare them for the future. It is our conviction that the necessary integration of knowledge and experience in education can best be accomplished through an interdisciplinary framework that is organized around themes, issues and problems confronted by our students and ourselves.
