NSCC Celebrates 50 Years of Student Success

On November 13, 1964, the Massachusetts Board of Regional Community Colleges voted unanimously to establish North Shore Community College in Beverly at the former Briscoe School. In September 1965, NSCC opened its doors to welcome 474 students to five programs of study.

Since then, NSCC has grown into a comprehensive community college offering nearly 90 associate degree and certificate programs to 15,000 students a year. Approximately 220,000 people have taken courses at the college's three campuses or online. NSCC now has four campuses in Beverly, Danvers, Lynn and Middleton.

NSCC celebrates its 50th anniversary starting September 2014.

You are invited to engage in the diverse schedule of events and activities we have planned, and to share your memories. We encourage you to visit these pages often as they will grow and change as we host events, add reminiscences and pictures received from alumni and the community, and anticipate the next 50 years!
